Rockstar Revealed GTA Trilogy Release Date

Rockstar Games has confirmed the release of the GTA trilogy. Titles will be released on November 11, there is very little to wait for. Nevertheless, it seems like the games will have a lot of changes, a lot of them have already embarrassed the fans of GTA.

Rockstar Games has presented to the audience an updated version of the classic trilogy with improved graphics and gameplay. However, the look of the original games, storyline, and mechanics will be preserved or improved according to the modern standards of gaming. The list of supported devices is wide enough. According to RockStar, GTA Trilogy Remastered will be available on the majority of popular modern platforms including mobiles.

For today, the developers showed several screenshots and a trailer of the remasters. Players can see that the developers really worked very well. Special attention must be given to the redesigned lighting system, increased detail and drawing range, high-quality textures, work on water and explosions, as well as other greatly developed details. For example, fingers appeared on the hands, light from neon signs can now be seen during the day. Furthermore, and being on the street, a player can see the interiors of houses.

Despite the updated graphics being undeniably much more high-quality than the original one, a lot of users aren’t satisfied with it. Characters look cartoonish and quite weird in a pretty detailed environment.

Nonetheless, some users noticed censorship in the games. Such changes embarrassed the gaming community a lot as the series was famous for ridiculing pressing issues and problems of society. The discussions on the forums are related to Phil Cassidy, or to be more precise, his T-shirt. In the original video game, it depicted the flag of the Confederate States of America, which is often associated with racism, but in the update, it has just a simple skull.

Another interesting detail noticed in the trailer is the possible release date of the long-awaited GTA VI. In the trailer, the main character of GTA Vice City, Tommy Vercetti, redies a motorcycle with the number “ICSLV”. Some fans suggest that it is a hint to coming back to Vice City in a new game, as "ISC" may mean "is coming soon". The next characters may be Roman numerals directing to the number "55". Perhaps, it means that the official announcement of the new GTA will happen 55 days after the release of the Trilogy (December 16). Nevertheless, it’s only a rumor and has no official confirmation yet.
