PS Plus Free Games for August Are Leaked by Sony

It’s quite unusual, but recently Sony revealed the games which will be available for free for subscribers of PS Plus long before the planned official announcement. Due to the mistake, the owners of PlayStation consoles already know which titles to expect without any doubt.

Each upcoming update of free games for PS Plus was followed by the rumors. Despite always having unreliable sources, some of them eventually matched reality. Nevertheless, at this time, PS owners can be sure as the latest leak was made by Sony itself. For unclear reasons the PS Plus page with available offers for a month was updated and it showed the list of free games for August. This mistake was quickly fixed and now the page consists of current offers for July, but the leaked content spread across the Internet.

In this way, subscribers will be able to download quite interesting titles. The first one is a popular shooter Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville famous for its unusual setting where plants compete with the undead. The next title is a sports simulator Tennis World Tour 2. The project is pretty controversial, but still worthy to be considered by fans of tennis. And the last one is Hunter's Arena: Legends, which will be available for free only for users of PS5. It’s an Asian-styled battle royale fantasy game appearing on the consoles for the first time. A team of thirty players can fight other players or monsters. Although the list of the titles doesn’t consist of any large hits compared with previous offers of the subscription, it’s undoubtedly diverse and pretty interesting.

The July games will become unavailable soon. Nevertheless, subscribers still can download such great titles as WWE 2K Battlegrounds, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, and Plague Tale: Innocence. Furthermore, Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown from June is available till the first Monday of August as well. Players presume that the next sets of free games will consist of less popular and successful titles as now the latest PlayStation consoles have been strengthened on the market and don’t have a need to find a new audience.

Nevertheless, Hunter's Arena: Legends seems a promising release that may become pretty successful. In this way, Sony may receive a lot of new customers if the game gains a big fan base. The title has chances of success as battle royale games are very popular now as well as it has quite an unusual setting.
