As it became known, Larian Studios is actively working on creating new items for the Xbox. Due to major technical issues with the split-screen co-op, the official release of Baldur's Gate 3 has been delayed. The studio will announce the game's release only when it is fully confident in the high quality of the novelty.
The company recently noted that Baldur's Gate 3 is launching on PS5 alongside the PC version this summer, on August 31st. At the moment, the version of the Xbox Series X / S video game is under development, which, alas, has been suspended for the time being. The developers are figuring out how to make a split-screen co-op video game (SplitScreen).
The studio noticed that the exclusivity of new items for the PS5 is out of the question. The company's video games are generally not exclusive to any platform. Naturally, we are not talking about any exclusive agreements with Sony.
The other day, on February 23rd, it turned out that the video game is expected to be released at the end of this summer, on August 31st, on PC, Mac, and PS5. Fans of the popular video series asked if the company would release a new product on the Xbox.
Supervisor S. Vinke said that Sony disagreed with the studio about the exclusivity of the PS5 version of the game. The company is working on an Xbox game, but developers are more concerned about the difficulties of split-screen co-op video games.
The company's representatives will announce the release of the video game only when everything is done at the highest level.
So far, it has yet to be known whether the developers managed to cope with at least part of the difficulties encountered. We look forward to further comments.
