In response to detailed feedback from its recent beta testing, "Frostpunk 2" will now launch on September 20, 2024, rather than the initially planned July 25. This delay allows 11 Bit Studios to refine and enrich the game’s complex systems, ensuring a premier release that aligns more closely with the thematic setting of a frozen wasteland.

The extension follows constructive player feedback which highlighted both strengths and areas for improvement in "Frostpunk 2." A standout new feature, "Zoom Stories," will address feedback regarding the loss of personal connection to the game's characters due to its vast scale.
