Activision contributed to the shutdown of a Call of Duty video game mod, much to the chagrin of fans

The players regretfully learned that the work on the mod for the famous shooter was discontinued. The creators of the mod had to abide by the decision of the original game's developer studio. As you know, Activision expressed its requirement in the relevant document.

Recall that the developers worked on creating the SM2 mod for two long years. The massive mod was supposed to rework the original game. The developers were going to please the players with group chat voice features, more than 100 types of weapons, and various redesigned game systems. Alas, this was not destined to happen.

Recall that this mod was based on the original game of 2009 but contained exciting elements of the last parts of the video game. Over time, the engine was replaced with a popular Modern Warfare Remastered version. The novelty was going to be released for fans in a free mode, but the studio developer of the original game reacted negatively to such actions. The mod's creators notified the fans that they received the relevant document from the company. The developers of the mod thank the players for their support. The studio has been silent for now.

The players are very saddened by the closure of the mod, but the company has already made the decision, and the mod's creators have to implement it.
