Hidetaka Miyazaki and George Martin's Elden Ring Is Coming

The premiere of the role-playing game Elden Ring is approaching, which is confirmed by the ESRB rating committee. She has already rated FromSoftware, Hidetaka Miyazaki, and George Martin's creations by age. And the game was recommended to an adult audience: 17+. Elden Ring got its age limit due to some violent features of the game. One of the Elden Ring bosses cuts off his own hand, and a certain humanoid monster appears to the player partially naked: the chest and pelvic areas are covered only with scales or scars. Also in the game, there are rudeness and swearing.

George Martin commented on Elden Ring's work on his blog. The writer said that he was involved in creating the story, myths for the project's setting, as well as the backstory of the title. He called his work "worldbuilding" and added that he is very fond of creating new worlds. Indeed, Martin is one of the best writers of our time, boasting such a deeply thought-out and conceptual project as A Song of Ice and Fire, so there is no doubt that he did an excellent job. The author notes that the world of Elden Ring is deep, dark, and resonant. Martin really likes what he has created.

Project Chief Game Designer Hidetaka Miyazaki is also pleased with Martin's collaboration and development of the game. He noted that this is the very game that he wanted to do for a long time, and he put a lot of effort into it. According to him, the open-world concept allowed him to implement simple, but very important for him personally game elements.

Elden Ring will definitely appeal to fans of exploring, as they have laid in the game many secrets and unusual situations in which the player will find himself. The developer also explained that there will be no rings among the items of equipment in Elden Ring, as in the games of the Dark Souls series. According to him, in the world of the Interdark, they have a different purpose, and they must play an important role in the plot. However, Miyazaki surprised everyone by saying he’s not going to play the new game as he already knows all the main features and plot twists.

The remake of Demon's Souls, which was released last year exclusively on PS5, was praised for its stunning graphics and visuals. It turned out that Bluepoint Games' praise and visuals put a lot of pressure on the graphics team at Elden Ring. Still, this is a remake of the From Software game, so the team is expected to have something similar in quality in future projects.

The release of the game is near. It will be available at the end of this February on PCs and consoles.
