Overwatch 2 fans are unhappy with monetization

Overwatch 2 fans are unhappy with monetization

The players criticized the actions of the developer Blizzard for the monetization system introduced in the second part of the popular shooter. According to game fans, the price of in-game items was too high. We also note that an impressive part of the in-game content turned out to be paid. Now to acquire bonuses and rewards, gamers will have to buy battle passes, each of which costs 1,000 premium in-game coins, approximately equal to $10. In addition to battle passes, the company intends to separately sell in-game items in the form of game character skins. One of them can be purchased at a 31% discount in a store for 2,000 in-game coins, which is approximately $20.

Fans are unhappy that in the first game, in-game items could be purchased during the achievement of new stages, and now this feature is no longer there. Recall that in the shooter's first part, gamers were offered loot boxes with skins.

Also, gamers were not very glad that the game novelty almost completely replaces the old one.

So, the premiere of the Overwatch 2 shooter will take place very soon, on October 4th. So the players are looking forward to this event despite the various innovations.
