Game developers announced officially that open-world Cyberpunk 2077 has reverted to the PlayStation Store. Yet, Sony neither eliminates the game nor recommends it to play on PS4.
On June 21, CD Projekt Red informed fans of the Cyberpunk 2077 video game that it has eventually appeared on PlayStation Store for editions PS4 and PS5. Gamers that purchase the current version on PS4 can equally play it on PS5 via backward compatibility. The awaited PS5 improvement will take place soon and will be available to users who bought the PS4 version, free of charge, both materially and online.
The game's revival resulted in speculations the preceding week when it appeared on the wish list. PlayStation has publicly confirmed the fact and recommended users choose PS5 or PS4 Pro for a better experience. Sony warned that players may come across several performance-related issues with the previous edition PS4 and that company is working on its improvement.
The game development process has lasted a long time. Since its launch, it has contained bugs and many performance issues. Soon enough, Sony took it away from its virtual storefront, with no return plan, and refunded dissatisfied gamers. The game's revival has been up to Sony, which has regularly been updating it. Gradually, the company managed to bring the game back.
Concerning the prospect of RPG Cyberpunk 2077, besides free DLC and intended updates, a new game director is eager to focus on the prearranged developments.
