Release of Lord of the Rings: Gollum is going to Happen this Fall

Finally, we have some clarification concerning the game, as there was no news for a year about the final date of release.

Recently Daedalic Entertainment confirmed the upcoming The Lord of the Rings: Gollum release.

It should be mentioned that the same game release was announced a year ago, accompanied by the trailer to it. So, it is not strange that now it is regarded with skepticism considering old enough update issues. But there is still some confidence that this time the game release will happen in Fall 2022 as was planned before. The recently created Steam Q&A game page proved it.

In another part of the Q&A, some details about the time of events in The Lord of the Rings. Previously there were thoughts that the game takes place before Fellowship of the Ring, but Daedalic stated that the events co-occur with Lord of the Rings' few chapters. It may seem that everything turns around several key stories that were not mentioned in the book but told by other characters.

Daedalic states that the game story parallels the first parts of The Lord of the Rings, starting with Gollum's time in Mordor, Saurons' capture, and Gandalf's interrogation at the end.

Moreover, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will be available for PC, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X, and Xbox One.
