The special ping system in the shooter Modern Warfare 2 has been disabled due to complaints

The shooter company turned off the ping system almost immediately after a flurry of complaints from players about the so-called "wallhack" bug, which "highlights" the player's location to his opponents, rained down. The studio has not yet made any official announcements either on the website or on its social media, but fans of the shooter immediately noticed that after the complaints received, this system stopped functioning. It happened about a couple of hours after the release.

What is the essence of this bug? Gamers could easily ping the enemy during the special death screen, and this ping lasted throughout gameplay, making it easy to track the player until the end of the game. Players could identify where their opponents were, even if they were on a completely different end of the game map.

The message about the found bug gained popularity, it was liked by other members of the gaming community approximately 5,000 times. Under the message, there were many comments from players who reported that they had already encountered such a bug.
