The studio canceled PvE mode in Overwatch 2, which greatly upset fans

Blizzard recently released a video game roadmap for the next few game seasons. The 6th season of this beautiful novelty is expected to start by the end of this summer. So it's pretty soon. In the meantime, players are highly disappointed with the cancellation of the PvE mode. The company made such a decision because it simply could not cope with the massive work. The creators announced this information during a special online broadcast on May 16.

Alas, the studio canceled this mode for this excellent video game. But it was the main great feature, which the fans of Overwatch 2 liked. When the video trailer for the 2 part just appeared, the studio promised gamers to release this mode that would delight fans with many enemies, various talents of playable characters, game maps, and so on. The game mode was supposed to come out sometime after the game's release. Unfortunately, it did not happen.

So, the roadmap for the 6th season was made public, where instead of a mode, there are only some details about different" story missions."

The studio cannot release this mode without compromising the primary game content. The company understands the disappointment of the gamers, but it just has no other choice yet.

The start of the 7th season of the novelty will take place, according to plans, in the second half of October 2023.
