A wave of massive bans from bots of the role-playing MMO action Lost Ark has reduced the number of gamers by 200,000. Mass blocking significantly reduced the average online MMORPG on Steam. So, the game has lost more than half its audience - 66%.
Note that about three hundred thousand gamers previously played this action, but after numerous blockings, only 100 thousand players remained online.
According to the fan account, on January 9, the game had 323,725 participants, but by January 10, the number of users had dropped to 101,550, which is just over 200 thousand bots. Of course, the players were fed up with interacting with bots, and the constant complaints about fake accounts evidenced this.
This situation has angered the public. Players noted that those gamers who traded in-game items for real money were also blocked. The ban has been brewing for a long time, so everything went to this - the game fans believe.
So, from January 7 to January 8, Steam reached ten million users in the game. On the evening of the 7th, more than 32 million gamers were online simultaneously on the platform. The developers say this wave of massive blocking will be one of many. The company continues introducing new methods for detecting bots and will take all possible measures against anything that prevents fans from enjoying the gameplay.
